The third day was pretty quiet because half of the group flew to London and the other half had arranged a rental car and were exploring another part of Iceland. That left only 5 of us to find something to do for the day, so we decided to explore.
We first walked down to the water and even though it was a cloudy day, it was still beautiful. We admired the Sun Voyager sculpture and the small rock piles that tourists had created. We also visited the Harpa which is a concert hall with beautiful architecture.
After walking through the Harpa, we headed downtown and found some amazing street art. We also got delicious crepes at a cute place called Eldur og Ís. I wish we had a place that made crepes like that in Connecticut.
We also went to a pizza place that had surprisingly good pizza, some of the best I've had, even in America.
The last picture shows a McDonald's hamburger and fries. Fun fact: The hostel we stayed at was the location of the last McDonald's in Iceland and it closed in 2009 which is when that meal was purchased.
